Sometimes I think the brain stops the pain to stop the body going into shock

Thats exactly what happens....the human body is still the most unbelievable piece of equipment even in todays hi tech world.

Had a few injuries myself that when i look back i wonder how i took and accepted the pain......yet stubbing my toe on a door and im rolling around the floor like a big f****n girl  ....still one of the most painful things i remember was an anaesthetic injection down the back of the thumb nail :bad:

ohh that made me wince lol

was he a jap dr lol

(edited,i said jap cause thats what they did to pows.pushed pieces of sliced bamboo down the quicks of thier nails)

That made me toes curl knasher.

Who heats up a pin or drills there finger nails when they've bashed it and gone black. The pain is excruciating till the pin goes through but the release feeling as the blood spurts out from beneath the nail is exctasy

me, i jummed my finger between a motorhome gearbox and the subframe, i heated up a paper clip and burn through the nail, nail still fell off though...

I went into my leg with a nine inch angle grinder, it didn't hurt at all at the time, just felt a thump, it was only until the surgeon was scrubbing it clean and slicing out the burned and flesh that had debris in it that I was howling the house down.

Pain like you wouldn't believe.
