OldTrapCollector 377
I used to set them like that in the top of my pheasant feed drums - deadly for squirrels too. There's no need to cover them up - just set them and place them on the top and they land straight in . . . OTC Quote Link to post
Squirrel_Basher 17,102
Just a point to mention -As I understand it legally ,all traps have to be covered wherever place high or low so bare it in mind please . Quote Link to post

I need to clarify my post a little I think - my traps were on top of the grain in the top of my pheasant feeders - the squirrels gnaw their way in, drop down and get caught - so they are covered by the feeder lid to keep in line with the law. I hope that clears up what I meant . . . OTC Quote Link to post

sidebyside 0
Put a lid on the bucket that has had a hole cut into it, with pheasant feed hoopers a 2 1/2inch hole just below the lid rim, a mark 4 fen inside will catch tree rat after tree rat. If your worried about water getting into the feed tape a piece of DPM over the hole squirrels will chew through the plastic to get in, this also gives you a good indicator of whether the trap needs to be reset.
