lksopener 105
Was out with the old man at the weekend and we have been thinking of getting some longnets. Lad we were chatting to seems to think 4x25 yards would be a good configuration. Thing is we dont use a dog would we still be okay with the longnets as some of our work would be much easier without having to use the purse nets? Cheers lads Liam Quote Link to post
Moe 108
as you have already said in the the right place makes the job a lot easier, and also will save you time as you dont have to purse net every hole.one of the down sides to using them is the rabbits hopping from hole to hole, and they dont always get trapped in the net, that is where the dog comes in.hope this helps. lksopener 105
Cheers mate I thought that, I was thinking of probably still using some purse nets on the easy to net holes and using the longnets in conjunction with them. I'm sure I'll have some soon to give a go! Liam Quote Link to post

jocky 198
i use 25yd and 50yd nets alot, but run 6yd nets every 25yds as stop nets, and at both ends. make sure you got 100% bagging in them so the rabbits dont bounce off them.. i dont use a dog. Quote Link to post
