help with dog runing off when off the lead

can n e one help me with this prob of me dog runing off soon as u let her off the lead and cums back when she wants she only duz this when out she cums to u in the houes 1st time shes just over 1 and iv bin given her for free now i no y not giveing up on her so n e help u can give 2 help will be ap

shes still young mate, work on obedience, have her favourite treat or toy with you, have you access to an enclosed sports field or similar, practise and patience are the key words, it's maybe a new experience for her and the novelty will wear off

only had her 2 weeks i hav access to a tennis court il try her in there

 

she will need to bond more as said have treats with you and the tennis court is a good idea I went on a football one with fences all round that worked wonders

When your on the court take the lead off her get her to sit then tell her go play let her walk and smell around then call her back by bouncing a tennis ball infront of you and call her name when she comes back get her to sit then throw the ball for her to retrive

play,play and,play more ,forget bout training as such ,should be seen as play anyway,,,,no distraction at home,so no issues ,every mutt is on his best behavior at home,,
