realdogman 14
I think they would be far better than a track greyhound would be a bit harder to get ur hands on one tho they look like they would have better feet and more wind Quote Link to post
stevemac 448
Ive watched galgoes course jack rabbit in the states last year very good at their trade exerlent endurance and kept the pressure on the hare. most runs ended in a catch. Quote Link to post

stroller 341
Running that hard ground they must have feet like concrete slabs, be interesting to see a cross like that used in the uk. Unfortunately they seem to be treat worse than we treat our running dogs over here Quote Link to post

galguero 0
I know for a fact there very usefull dogs ,seen one take anything from rabbit up to roe and female fallow deer . even some smaller wild boar , all single handed. But most off all excellent hare dogs (europeean brown hare ) ,,plenty off stamina and far more biddable then the saluki There a very hardy breed very little problems and a lovely pet as well I would think they are very usefull for lurcher breeding ,The only thing i think would need some improvement is there coat although the rough haired version is a bit better then the smooth coated.
