Pigeon Controller 1
I recently found a feral ferrret in a laybye between Stratford and Oxford . She was covered with ticks and very smelly . Not like normal ferret odour but more like Tom Cat. I treated her with frontline and the ticks have gone, she eats well but is loose in her poo. She eats rabbit and dried food and is the same with both. She also appears to be nocturnal sleeping all day and only coming out into the run at night. She will allow you to pick her up but is not happy. she has broken the wire on the cage and chewed the plye wood twice to try and escape but seems OK now. I have a couple of questions 1 could she have worms due to the amount she eats? 2 could she have cat flue? She is a polecate ferret with brilliant markings but I/m concernerd that she will never be a worker. Any comments would be appreciated Pigeon Controller Quote Link to post
Plong 21
http://www.all-about...in-ferrets.html Should be ok to work once she gets tamer. Edited September 14, 2011 by Plong Quote Link to post
Brimmer 220
If its a true feral, it will never make a worker. It will be near impossible to catch up out of the holes, and is unlikely to get on with its job below the sod. Tried it years ago, and failed, learned my lesson. Quote Link to post
theferreter 311
if it is a wild polecat once you have it back to full health let it go back into the wild were it belongs but my guess is it somebodys ferret thats been left behind and its been running wild for a bit and has turned semi feral just give it time and she should come round Quote Link to post

Rake aboot 4,936
Stick with it mate,, no reason it won`t chill out and with a bit of work could be a good grafter.Particularly if you are lucky and it`s a young ferret Quote Link to post

He says a polecat marked FERRET , ?????? thanks mate, I can read. I was answering theferreter in the post above mine. Didn't want this guy to think he had a wild polecat and to release it, because it sounds like he has a ferret that someone's lost. Shouldn't take long to get it properly tame. Quote Link to post
