tegater 789
It happens at times, for various reasons, and we all hate it when it happens. In my experience it has been pipe collapses, but when I was much younger with no ferret finder, I lost one in a large warren, and despite leaving its box open over night hoping it might be there in the morning, it wasn't. I have a Jill now, that the wife absolutely adores and I have to admit its a great pet aswell, she orders me not to take it out, for fear of loosing it. Of course I don't obey this order, as ferrets like us, are born to hunt, and I think that would be cruel. (the other ferrets she is happy for me to so what I want with!) Tell your friend to enjoy his ferreting and take care of the little fella. Always use a locator and probe, and he will minimise the chance of something happening to it. Quote Link to post

tegater 789
Get a piece of 10mm rebar and weld a T handle on. Mine is only about 450mm long off memory, as I use it in conjunction with a locator. Quote Link to post
