Why use names & not the breed

Is it me or as any one seen other posts were they ask how there dogs are bred they come out with names & not the breeding i.ve seen it in the CMW on the for sale page what have the names got to do with lurchers or is it the names behind a lurchers makeup that make it a better lurcher is it the the way forward say when im looking for a new pup I put the word out that im looking for a new pup and that im not interested in the dogs breeding im only interested the names of the dogs ok we all know hancock is a well known name in the Collie/Greyhound world but they still say it and Hancock when people ask that alright saying that but is it a first x 3/4 1/4 or 3/8 5/8 and so on same with coursing dogs they tell you the names not the breeding why

the thing in the coursing lines is,,, most couldnt tell you the persentage of saluki,greyhound,, or if theres anything else in there,, beacause they have been line bred for a long time,, saluki/grey x saluki/grey for years,,, with them somtimes adding pure saluki or 3/4 saluki,,, and some lines have bitsa type lurcher in years ago............so know one knows,,,, so long as they do what there bred for thats what counts
