Here we go again fasten them seat belts.......

You talk so much shit mate, what a total divi you are.

Mike as probably seen and done more with is Whippets than any one around that why he got a good name and pedigree i.ve never came across a bad one or the x's with that pedigree in the mix

I bought my lad one after he turned 11yr old and wanted his own dog,I'd known of mike for years through a few mates that knew him well,I took a black dog out of the last litter the famous "sooty sam" sired about 10yrs ago,Mikes a decent guy and will tell you himself that if you want to hunt larger game regular then buy a larger dog (lurcher) but for a bit of ferreting, lamping, mouching etc a whippet will do,the dog was brought up and entered right but at best was only average, his mate bought one about a year later off mike and thats only a pet now as well, they had plenty of stamina over a longer course but lacked that burning pace I remember from the whippets in the 70's and 80's,ours was given away as a pet aged 3yrs and I bought him a deerhound/greyhound Xcollie/greyhound which was in a whole different league,I've always kept large fast lurchers and watching them yap behind stuff they should be catching was very difficult for me and the lads that I hunt with, this is only the facts and is not a personal dig at the man or his dogs, just our own experience, atb, wirralman

For a while mike was on here, me and terrierman where talking to him on chat and he said me and tm can have 3 pups for 800. Of those 3 atleast 1 will kill a fox in its lifetime. He then went on to get himself kicked of for abusive behaviour and poor use of language when someone mention bullxwhippets which I found comical

I dont think I have ever seen a whippet that could"nt catch a rabbit I"v owned whippets for more than thirty and bred for twenty in that time I have only bred 3 or 4 that I thought were litter wast at least 2 out of every litter were capable of takeing hare regularly the rest were good on rabbits with only 1 or 2 out of about 20 being poor and the same percentage being something a bit special.I think most working Whippet litters would be about the same. They throw pretty regular pups more so than most lurcher lines with coursing lines probably being the exeption as I think that dog bred for generations for a specific task becomes almost a breed of their own as many coursing lines seem to have.

im looking to get a pup off mike, has anyone got any of mikes dogs?

what is mikes dogs like? and does he work them?

thanks

i've had one out of mike browns "strike while the irons hot " .......... mine would bush and catch in the day but would not run the lamp at all , not even doubled up , i gave the dog away as a pet ....... but to be honest i later found out that the bitch my pup was out of was a pet NON WORKER !! maybe if both parents would have been workers thinhgs would have been different ......... so my advise to you is .... be carefull who you are buying your pup from and do your home work on the parents . i've seen some decent whippets from mike brown but there are some people out there that use his stud dogs just to have the name attached to a litter for selling purposes ......... good luck

my lurcher bitch is sired by a mike brown whippet,, the sire could pre ban have foxes, squirrels, rats with a hard mouth and be sound round a ferret and a soft mouth for rabbit. he was everything i'd want in a dog, which is why i had a pup sired by him.

my bitch was grand until she broke her leg then lost confidence but that could happen in any dog, she is now retired to the sofa and companion duties :)

remember when it comes to people proving there is a bad ones, the socialisation, training and diet have a lot to play in it, the owners who feed and bring the pup on has just the same amount of an effect on how the dog turns out in the end.

i would recommend a mike brown dog any day.
