Mine have all had excellent feet and have run over some very bad ground with remarkably few problems. Try taking it to a vet and get a professional opinion on what's wrong with the dog and what needs to be done to put it right

Sounds like your not giving the dog enough time to recover. Even when he looks ok it still takes time for internal bruising to completely heal. If you run him to soon you only activate the prolem. Have had it checked by a vet for fractures

The foot has 1000's of little bones, each bone needs to work with the other...a bit like a cog, one breaks, and the cog starts playing up.

Sometimes xrays wont show a bone that has fractured ect...

a dog has about 320 bones in its body, how would it have 1000s in its foot? just curious. correct me if i am wrong.

I had a deerhound cross, (DC) that ran with a saluki cross (SC), after two seasons the DH had perfect feet the SC had a flat toes on one leg and a knocked up toes on the other. I’d not say salukis have bad feet based on one dog, rather the SC was unlucky in that it received more trauma. Sounds like yours may have a knocked up toe and so require treatment, recovery 2nd to that. One foot injury will often lead to others as compensation takes place.

Id get a vet to check it out (if your vets good, mine told me my dogs leg would have to be amputated after bad ligament damage, fecking arse he was,dog still has the leg and now newt up with it, (apart from having a flat back pad coz they would not take the plaster of her foot, and the pad dropped off,) after alot of work on my part ) do you do a lot of road working with it? Mate has the same problem with his whippet back foot, toe just appears dislocated then next pops back in, was an old injury from previous owner that was never sorted. Hes just road working her to build up her pads and feet again.
