barry lurcher 27 Posted August 26, 2011 Report Share Posted August 26, 2011 last thur saw my new kit wasnt right friday really flat they do go down so quick she still was eating and keeping it down and drinking but just would not move so straight up vets sat morning vet recons she had very bad stomach infection salmonella or something like that never had this [bANNED TEXT] in all my years of keeping ferrets anyway she had a high temp so had a shot of antibiotics and a bottle of them for a week 60 quid later home and 3 days later poley picking up really well its been 6 days now and shes much better not there yet but like i said much better think i will still have about half a bottle of antibiotics left so will keep it in fridge recon it will keep 4 at least a year i have always fed raw meat to my ferrets and never had this keep em spotless cleaned twice a day and meat all kept in fridge . so dont know if it was food poisoning but at least the little poley is on the mend so money well spent me thinks all the best paul Quote Link to post

Years ago my cousin had a pack of sausages in the fridge that had gone out of date so he cooked them and gave them to his ferrets.....obviously hadn't cooked them properly as every single one of them died! nightmare!
