Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) shows a remarkable chemical resistance and it is insoluble in all known solvents. It is attacked only by molten alkali metals and by fluorine at high temperatures. PTFE is incombustible and may be used up to 260°C (300°C for short periods). PTFE's coefficient of friction is extremely low and it shows the effect of self lubrication with constant mechanical properties which makes it particularly suitable for bearings, joints, O-rings, stirring bars, hazardous materials bottle pouers, syringes, crucubles, evaporating dishes etc. PTFE may be shaped by compression and sintering into bottles and beakers where its chemical stability and non-wettability make it suitable for use in extreme circumstances.

Based on the advice from casso, jigsaw, strongstuff and westy i have made a break stick from ptfe.

Once got stopped with mine..the policeman asked what it was for..i said to help take the rabbit off the dog..to which the thick cnut replied..what do you do with it/ hit the dog over the head with it?

Dances it's nearly there mate but to many straight edges it all needs rounding off bud,the ones I've had look like "cough" old stlye vibrator ie smooth and round but flattened end but not looking like a chisel if that makes sense.

[NO TEXT TALK] shed some light of this ,i haven,t got a clue what yous are on about and what you use it for ? :icon_redface:

Theyre used for breaking the dog off of its quarry. Ive only seen one dog which would need one, all others Ive seen loose interest rapidly after the quarry is dead. Mostly used with terrier blooded dogs. Pretty standard kit for those that worked strong dogs from what I understand. Im sure those in the know will explain in more depth.

Use a break stick and you won't damage your dog, or what ever its got in its mouth. They are ideal for breaking up fights between terriers as well!
