Not really as it can be safely used on really young kittens , worth it's whieght in gold during the season, if your that worried you can get beaphar spot on for ferrets in the pet shop about 4.50, it contains 4 pipets whiegh your ferrets then administer the correct amount, it even treats ear mites very affectively to,
