nivek65 4 Posted August 22, 2011 Report Share Posted August 22, 2011 having trouble getting the collar on ma young jills, anyone any ideas of the best way to get it on, they are rather jumpy when i try and put it on, i am just wanting them to get used to it before i start them out, also would i be able to put a jill down without a collar and if she does not appear send down my hob with a collar on and see if he can find her, i used to ferret years ago and never used locators never had any problems then, but it seems now adays every body is using collars. thanks folks for any info. darbo 4,779 Posted August 22, 2011 Report Share Posted August 22, 2011 a easy way i found was to put the collar on when they were having a drink of (goats) milk. then just let them run round for a while with it on. after a while they accept it no bother and just handle them as much as you can.
