out on the lamp last night

me and the nephew went out lamping last night he is only 14 and he's been pestering me for ages to take him out lamping so last night i finally gave in as it was a good windy and rainy night so i decided to take him round the outskirts of the town where we live for a few rabbits theres not a great deal of rabbits there but theres enough to give the dog a desent run. the first field that we got to there was 5 rabbit in the dog got the first 3 we sent it for and missed the last 2 i was pritty pleased with the dog for catching them as he is really unfit at the moment we walked round a few more fields but couldnt see any more rabbits so we moved on to the next place. the first field had 3 rabbits in we only got a run on one which managed to get into the long grass at the edge of the field where the dog lost it the other 2 were away as soon as the lamp was switched on there very lamp shy the next field there was 5 in the dog only managed to catch one out of 3 runs in this field we checked another four or five fields but no more rabbits were to be seen so we moved to another place. theres a playing field near the town that used to have a couple of rabbits on a few years ago so i thought id try there and the fields surrounding it when we got there and put the lamp on it there was 9 rabbits on it the dog done well and caught 3 out of 9 i thought this was good a its only the size of a small football pitch with a running track round it then we went round the fields that surrounded the football field the second field we went in the dog caught 1 out of 1 then another in the 6th field. in the last field we went in there was 7 rabbits in it but at the bottom of the field the fence is a wooden railed one and the rabbits just run straight through it and in to cover the dog was on its 5th run and managed to pick a rabbit up but as he did he went head over heals and droped it and it managed to get into cover we ended up with 9 rabbits alltogether should have been 10 but these thing happen here's a pic of the end of the night when we got home.
