need help with new hob kit

Recommended Posts

i got a new hob kit a couple of weeks ago to go with my 2 year old jill. when put together there was some squeeling and the jill was dragging him about i thought it was because he was young she was treating him as a young kit.

eventually after a couple of days it settled down but i noticed some scabbing on his head and neck. so i left him to heel up himself (was this the right thing to do?) went out this morning to find that scab on head was off and there was his bare scalp and some rather smelly green puss. he was acting rather quiet and withdrawn so i have cleaned it up with some saline and put some aniseptic spray on it.

should i be really worried and any other suggestions welcome

Can you put some pics up? Saline/antiseptic and keeping it clean should help. Is he eating and drinking ok? It can be hard to spot pus under a scab, so you've done all the right things. Infection does make them a bit quiet. Hopefully now the pus is out he should perk up soon.

HE WAS STILL EATING A LITTLE AND DRINKING. I WILL GO BACK OUT LATER TO CHECK HIM AGAIN AND SEE HOW HE IS EATING AND DRINKING I HAVE SEPERATED HIM AND HER JUST KNOW TO GIVE HIM A REST AND SO I CAN TELL IF HE IS EATING.

FINGERS CROSSED HE WILL PICK UP A BIT.

WILL SEE WHAT I CAN DO ABOUT A PIC

i am sorry to say that when i went to check him tonight he had passed away. i am totally gutted if i had only realised that she had scarred him that badly and that there was a infection under the scab i maybe could have done something
