1st September

Quiet little club marsh that rarely gets shot for me. The reason it never gets much shooting is that there's a hell of a walk to get to it and little to shoot at when you do. I like it for the peace and solitude on opening morning and you never know what will turn up. Will go down the night before have a fry up on the wall after the morning flight then drive to another marsh for the tide flight. Hopefully by then the rest will have gone home. Can't wait

Best of luck to all that venture out

I got the butterflies thinking about the 1st morning flight, will be having a barbeque on the sea wall night before, a couple of stubbies, then soon as 430am comes along we will be out on the wash waiting for that first swish swish of wings, wont be going out too far this year cos its a very big tide, cant wait. :boogy:

i will be sat under a hedge half a mile from a big lake (that i cant shoot over)

the mallard have a good flight line and usually a few will be low enough for 2oz of ITM through 10 bore!

a brace on opening morning will do nicely!

the big gun and punt are for sale ,its a 28oz gun with proof certificate

the punt has always been dry stored and is twenty three foot long, it is five years old and on a fully galvanised trailor the same age

the gun has had new breeching ropes fitted and spliced this summer so is ready to go

there are two little outboard engines and a bracket fitted to the punt to fit the engine too

i am wanting £5,500 for the full rig and can take you out for a trial

i have a caravan on the wash area of lincolnshire so can make accomodate anyone wanting a trial

i also have a fishing boat for sale that i was going to use for towing the punt with , it is fitted with a yanmar inboard diesel and can sleep two people

the boat is a yorkshire cobble type in glass fibre with forward cuddy and at the rear of the boat i had a canopy made to measure and fit so as to increase the DRY area for cooking and changing ,

the mast doubles as a boom for the tented area and when underway again the mast is used as a boom for towing the punt with so as the punt cannot RAM the back end of the fishing boat and fowl the propelor

i am wanting £5000 for the fishing boat which is also sat on a trailor
