events co-ordinator 353
Sorry stand corrected Vale of Lune Harriers are coming I'll decide for myself if Lowther is finished after I've been there I dont know why people bother running these events when the Experts have written them off my old man was talking to a guy from Cumbria we used to enter Lakelands for but he cant make it hoping to see old friends at the NEW Lowther show. wild rover 548
After the original Lowther Show banned Lurchers in the 80's, it took a lot of letter writing, discussions and effort from a certain individual with Lowther owners to reinstate the Lurcher Show, Show entry was expensive but once in show entries were free and good trophies and prizes were available and the Lurcher events were well supported. The decision was made for Lowther to cease but now it has been ressurected by Country Fairs, with the Coursing Crew running the Lurcher events, no one can say it is crap until they have been, then pass a personal opinion, so in an attempt to ensure Cumbria keeps an event of this type lets all get behind it and support it, or we will lose it.
