Guest Eamon.Mc
Would you not be better off with a small lurcher?? BeddyXWhippet? Terriers for rabbits I don't know??? Quote Link to post
parkstone 24
The bitch might be dominating him, try taking them out seperatly for a few times I think you'll find he then comes on very well. Quote Link to post
Guest SJM
Terriers for rabbits I don't know??? Come on, its a big world, theres enough room for those of us who like to do a bit of mooching around with terriers, as well as the hard core diggers I got my first border terrier around this time last year and hes been superb to date, he marks holes, works well bushing alongside the lurchers and is just starting to work to rats. I havent pushed him at all, have just taken him out with the bigger dogs from around 6 months and just let him do his own thing. Hes really keen, gets keener every time I take him out. Theres nowt wrong with a bit of rabbiting, if you cant get any other kind of work for a terrier then its better than nothing at all JMHO Quote Link to post
mussells 0
i thinks its the norm now for something like that to be said, but im not going to go off on one... gunsmoke.....just be patient, the dog will get it in the end. good idea to take him on his own,let him work without worrying about another dog. Guest SJM
Just to add I would agree with whats been said about the other dog, I took my border out with my bull x a couple of times, she is mad keen and she always growled at him any time he tried to get near a hole she was near, so I stopped taking him out with her and he has come along leaps and bounds since then. Dogs often get dominated by bitches its a lot like men n women really, women getting the upper hand and all that Quote Link to post

Jordan 1
Dont use young dogs on mink mate they will make a mess of your dogs. a pissed off mink is not a pretty site. Quote Link to post
