welshphil 242
Evening all, I'm hoping that there are a few dog genetic experts who can settle a good natured disagreement between mates. We were discussing a possible future mating between a fawn bitch of mixed breeding (greyhound, whippet, deerhound, beddy, collie, saluki mix) back to fawn dog totally unrelated but very similar breeding. Someone then stated that all of the pups would be fawn in colour - different shades of fawn maybe, but all fawn nonetheless. Is this correct, despite both dogs carrying brindle, blue and other colours in their genes? Obviously the colour doesn't make any difference to their working ability it just started an interesting debate. Look forward to the answers as there's a couple of pints and a packet of scratchings at stake Thanks in advance for any replies

SEAN3513 7
You may well not get any fawn pups......with a mix like that it could throw anything...as Riohog said......brindle is dominant , so could be a fair selection.
