martnmagik 68
hi all ive had ferrets for well over 15 years and most have happily lived together in the court, untill last year when i took on a young jill who for some reason started to attack all the others including the hobs. i swiftly seperated her into a hutch of her own and she now lives alone. but what i dont understand is that she is perfectly OK while out working but just wont tollerate anything else in her hutch with her. has anyone else come across this? im just wondering why she might be like it. atb mart Quote Link to post

Kay 3,709
i can count on one hand the number of hobs i have had to keep seperate despite castrating, now jills on the other hand I have had many over the years that simply wouldnt mix regardless of time of year yours may settle in the autumn, if not then it looks like your going to move her on or keep her as a lone ferret Quote Link to post
The one 8,592
Theres only going to be one top ferret in a hutch and often its a jill they often nail a ferret passing just to show there top of the tree Quote Link to post
martnmagik 68
its not just a quick rumble to show authority its an IM GOING TO KILL YOU situation when she grabs hold of them and kay i wont be passing her on as she is a valuable member to my team of workers, i wont and never will pass on a PROBLEM ferret, they either live together or alone and live out their days any how they want Quote Link to post
