Hi there, just thought I'd stick my head up and introduce myself here.

I'm sort of new to fieldsports in that apart from a bit of clay shooting years ago, I haven't done any game shooting or anything similar. What I have been doing is hunting people... Don't panic, not with proper firearms or anything sinister, but airsoft. Why, you may ask, is an airsofter popping up here? Well basically, as part of that 'sport' involves stalking the human animal I thought I'd try and gain some knowledge from people who stalk other animals - you guys!

Please take it easy on me and don't rib me too much for going out into the woods with a bunch of guys at weekends, dressing up in weird costumes and running around shooting loads of white stuff at each other

welcome mate ,at least this kind of hunting you can eat your kill lol.

Thanks for the welcome guys, and if they do introduce eating your kill in airsoft, I think I'll go back to tiddly-winks ;)

I'm not adverse to the idea of killing my own food - my dad used to be a game keeper then a farm worker, so I was brought up with the laws of nature being explained in no uncertain terms (I'm not sure if shouting 'mint sauce' at the lambs was cruel, but it always made him laugh). It's just not something I've done yet, but there's guys down my local who go shooting so you never know - obviously not shooting lambs, that would be wrong, you're supposed to slit their throats aren't you?
