dus anybody do fishing rod repairs

went fishing on me local pond set 1 rod up put a activ maple-8 no and droped it in the margins i went to set me other rod and got a take was a strong fish ad 25 lb brad line and me reel was on highist tenshon and was still takeing line took me 20 min to get the fish about 20foot from the bank trying to set me net up it swam at me geting in a big weed bed line went slak it unhooked it self ill be seting me dam net up first from now on but i snaped me grays prodigy rod puting it in its bag not shur if can aford to replac it snaped the top part about 2 inch under the end eye can this be fixed or better to get a new rod :icon_redface:

that should be an easy repair mate. just get a new top eye from any good tackle shop and glue it on, or ask the shop if they could do it. it shouldnt be dear for a 5 min fix. i wouldnt worry about losing 2 inches of the top either, , ive got a fly rod that broke near the tip and it hasnt affected the action. :thumbs:

Hello mate, aint Greys rods guaranteed for life, i'm pretty sure all you would need would be the cost of postage, If not. I snapped a small piece of one of my rods a couple of years back, and i took it to my local tackle shop, he looked through a tin of tip rings he had until he found the right size, then all i had to do was glue it on, worked a treat, never had any problems with it since, cost me hardly anything. ;) ATB.
