lucky 578 Posted February 22, 2007 Report Share Posted February 22, 2007 does anyone know if theres such a thing to convert 240 volts into 3 phase (415) ? i can buy a large industrial mincer but the only trouble is it's 3 phase and i am only wired up for 240 volt. if there is such a thing where could i get one ? Hi Bud, I work with pumps and we suplly and install 1 phase (240v) and 3 phase pumps (415v). You can mess about with it. If you take the netral wire from the 3ph cable it will give you 240V but it's pretty complicated, and not the safest thing to do if you don't know what you are doing. To be honest the best thing for you to do is change the motor on it to 1 phase motor. There will be a plate on the motor with all the motor details. If you get them and tell me what they are I can get you a price for a replacement motor. If you can't fit it yourself, sent it to me in Edinburgh and I will fitone of my engineers to fit it. I can get it fitted for free, but you will need to buy the motor. Won't be expansive though. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
