jonnygray 139
My whippet bitch absolutely bang in season and gettin lined tomorrow, I got a six month old Collie grey cross that she normally treats with much indifferance as she is top dog and loves to show it. He ain't got a clue why she suddenly wants to play with him jump on his back and basically dry hump him all over the place. Poor little fecker ain't got a clue what's goin on. But on the up side I'm gonna get the pup I want out of two proven workin whippets and the surplus will be let go to good workin homes only. I posted about this a month or so ago and if anyone is interested pm me. Not in this for money good homes imperative no messers please pups will go for cost of raising only which I expect to be around 60 to a pup. Yis Jonny. Quote Link to post
Shazza 52
I wouldn't even take the chance of letting the 2 dogs together even if your pup doesn't seem to have a clue right now' it don't take long for him to change his mind. I have a litter of Chihuahua's here and Dad was only 16 weeks old when he tied the bitch Quote Link to post
Country Joe 1,411
As Pedigree working Whippet pups are making £350 to £400 a pup, your price of 60 to pounds is a generous one, all the best with fore coming litter, what stud Dog are you using? Quote Link to post

Anyone thats serious and can offer a good working home will very happily pay £100 and still feel like they got an amazing bargain. They would probably feel the same if you charged £150. You could up the price and then donate any extra to Help for Heroes or another charity and do good for the new owners and charity at the same time if you really aren't fussed about making a few quid. That's good of you mate. Although I would like to think I would do the right thing I think I would have sold them for £200 each and made a few quid for myself. I already have my breeding lined up if the dogs turn out good enough to warrant breeding them but they are young so will be at least 3 years before I decide. Good luck with them mate!
