Penda 3,367 Posted June 5, 2011 Report Share Posted June 5, 2011 ive got a russell dog pup hes about 8months old now and hes just started bushing and getting interested in using his nose i didnt really make him do it i just took him to places where theres plenty of scent and quarry about and left him to his own devices the end of the day theyre bred for a job and its been bred in them from generations back and they all know what to do with there nose Quote Link to post

Terrier Sam 297 Posted June 6, 2011 Report Share Posted June 6, 2011 As you probably know from having running dogs, yapping is frustration so if you take almost any dog out when it is young to bush out rabbits it wont be quick enough to catch therefore will end up yapping IMO It works for me ATB Sam Quote Link to post
