sako22.250 3 Posted May 23, 2011 Report Share Posted May 23, 2011 my mate has 2 jills that came into season anyway took them to the vets for the jab but about a month later one of them has started ragging and dragging the other one around the hutch and also into the nest box any ideas whats going on atb. Jill jabs bring them out of season but don't necessarily curb reproductive behaviours. One jill is trying to mother the other jill. Mght be an idea to separate them until the breeding season ends, otherwise tempers may flare and injuries will happen. Quote Link to post
Rake aboot 4,929 Posted May 24, 2011 Report Share Posted May 24, 2011 Unless some real damage is being done,,let them get on withit,, it wont last and you may find they reverse and the firs "victim" starts dragging the other about,, just keep an eye on them,, This is one aspect of ferrets that some folk take a bit to get used to,, at this time of year, all ferrets (male and female) tend to just kick the shit out of each other,, it`s a hormone thing ATB Quote Link to post
