scalesntails 118
Be careful where you take him until he's had both his jabs. Then just let him meet loads of dogs on and off the lead. Get him used to walking though fields with sheep etc. Beaches are good for socialising if there is one near you that allows dogs. Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,217
Before you start taking him about sort his jabs first mate. Apart from that, just as much exposure to as many different things as possible in a controlled manner. Positive experiances! Quote Link to post

scothunter 12,609
i know its hard to tell, but if you have any doubts about a strange dog that could possibly attack him avoid it all costs.even if you have to back track on yourself.last thing you need is a f*****g potlicker attacking your pup.can set them back and make them shy of other dogs. as for biting mines is 11month old and he bites my hands when im putting my shoes on or getting his lead.playfull like.and ive tried everyting to get him to stop it.its not a masjor thing and he is just playing.its the bull in him i reckon.as never had another lurcher do that. Ideation 8,217
Pups, especially Bull breeds, tend to be Orally fixated. It's one of their few means of expression. Quote Link to post

iceman001979 1,316
Think you should have waited till you got your whippet up and going before you got a pup then he could have brought the pup on for you and learned him the ropes now your going have your hands full bring on the two off them but best luck with them both Quote Link to post
