hand made stick

Deltor I don't mean to piss on your fire mate but £17 for a stick that does'nt look quite finnished to me is a bit steep. Here's one I made and may I add it cost me nowt as all matierals are natural and free, only took me about 3 hrs to make, I use it for wading while salmon fishing and have made several for some of my mates. The only thing that is time consuming is waiting for the sticks to dry out. P.S I had a bulldog spade delivered for £7.90 mate and I'd say that stick would be a bit lighter?

Ah give him the benefit of the doubt anyway.

Deltor mate, you'll have to learn how to straighten the stick for a start, not to mention leaving it dry naturally. Then you'll have to get some copper pipe caps or thick wall tube and fit it to the end, and then there's finishing the uppermost with some antler, horn, leather cord or whatnot.

There's some good books on the subject, get a hold of one and you'll soon be making sticks someone would be happy to pay for.
