Tomm Parr 30
Anyones mutts had ringworm, and if so how did you treat it ? you can just get some worm medicine from pets-at-home. i can't remember the name of the one we used, it was in a plastic syringe and cost about 6 quid. the pup perked right up the next day and was fine after a week.
Was it a spot-on treatment Tomm? no it wasn't, i think spot-on is for fleas. Anyway, i can't remember the name of the product sorry but the lad in the shop told me it was the best of the ringworm treatments. It did the job well. About 10 days later i took the dog to the vet for his microchip and weil's disease jab; i told the vet about the drug i'd used for the ringworm and she said it was the best medicine for ringworm too. It came in a plastic syringe and you have adjust the syringe body depending on the dog's weight. You then squirt a certain amount into the back of the mouth once a day. Ask in pets-at-home, they'll certainly know Edited April 21, 2011 by Tomm Parr

Youre right Tomm, sheep dip is an insecticide. But it is also a fungicide which is required to kill ringworm, amongst other things, in sheep. I have "heard" of sheperds dowsing their collies in it and wondered if there is any truth in this
