A trot might be on the cards soon, someone in training

Recommended Posts

That was the nicest stepping horse there, a proper "Ragmans" horse !! LOL !! That's allways a good ride out, from Walker to the coast and back. It was a nice sunny day, and had a few pints with a lot of lads I hadn't seen for a while, from Throckley, Lemington, Benton, etc. Hope they are still having the ride outs !

Cheers.

Whats a "Ragman"? remember my granny telling me something about them if I can recall :whistling:

LOL !! Your'e older than me !! My Grandad was one, and my older brother was working a horse and cart out of the back of Farriers Bar in Walker Gate just a few years back. You lads used to bring scrap and rag and bone from Ashington and Bedlington area all the way down to Byker to wheigh it in at Jebs or Greivers, (a good horse man !!), years ago !! A round trip of about 50 miles on horse and cart !!... The way things are going; those days might be back !!

Cheers.

Looks like Nancies owner?? That ran up to Sniper in '97??

I think most coursing lads will know him.... no reason to put his name up on here, unless he wants it !

Cheers.
