jackiboi 7
took the pooch out for a walk yesterday, something bolts from the bush , he takes of behind it, and tries to go the way that did, instead of going over the barb wire as per he slips through the middle only to skin himself a 4 inch gap in his chest!!! so off to the vets we went.. £215.91 for some stitching.. OUCH, obviously other people have had this happen to them, so am just wondering if [NO TEXT TALK] has had this happen but they have sorted it a different way. didnt get a pic of it but will put pic up of the stitching after too give you all a peep.. we was just getting into the fitness aswell no we will have to start again. oh well shit happens Quote Link to post
shepp 2,285
Not bad money for the vet, minus medication must be at least £150 for half hours work. Quote Link to post

Gaz_1989 9,539
I have been saying for 6 months I'm gonna get my pup insured and after a very similar close shave this morning I am gonna get him insured today. Out for a walk about 7am in some local woodland, He saw a rabbit the other side of a standard 3 strand barbed wire fence. He went straight after it, he always goes under as he hasn't really started jumping yet. Anyway for some reason he cleared the bottom 2 strands and scraped under the top strand. I shit myself! Luckily he cleared it but it had me thinking it could of easily been a vets bill. Gaz Quote Link to post

Gaz_1989 9,539
I have been told Tesco pet insurance is good. No questions asked and pay up without issues. Obviously don't say it's a working dog. Will get a few quotes this afternoon. How does it work? You pay vets and then claim back off insurance? Gaz Quote Link to post
JPTfellterrier 65
I went with petplan insurance as they dont ask if the dog is working or not and my vet deals directly with them to start with. £17 somthing a month which includes money for if she gets stolen, has a long term illness so needs medication for the rest of her life and up to £3000 vet bills Quote Link to post
