herdwick 52
Had a terrier done years ago because he used to fight anything male. After the op he started fighting bitches as well. Ended up shooting him after he chewed the face off a 3 month pup. Quote Link to post
fieldsman 51
The dog would benefit from proper training and socializing it is more likely the owner than the dog find someone in your area that runs dogs and has a fair knowledge of dog training and get it sorted and stop making excuses for your lack of dog training while the dog is being retrained you will also learn the correct way to control your dog so the next dog you get will also benefit.you only need train the owner once and he can benefit many dogs. Mickey Finn 3,065
Training and consistency is the only way to improve a dogs behaviour not cutting bits off. Very true. ATB Quote Link to post

I would look into behavioural training in addition to the neutering. At least if he is neutered he may still have a working career but a dog with unsound temperament should not be passing on his genes. Neutering and training sounds like a responsible move. good luck.
