MissRhianL 70 Posted April 10, 2011 Report Share Posted April 10, 2011 hi all, im thinkin about getting a patterdale x bedlington but never seen one or seen one work. just wondering if many of you got them out there or seen them work and whats your opinion on them as a few of the old folks told me that the bedlingtons were the dogs back in their days? also are they leggy? all comments are apprechiated Quote Link to post

shroob 9 Posted April 11, 2011 Report Share Posted April 11, 2011 To echo what others have said, problem will be finding the right dog. Crosses can result in very game dogs, but also very lame dogs. I was with a bloke who owned 2 lurchers, collie x saluki and they had the worst of both breeds. Quote Link to post
fat man 4,741 Posted April 11, 2011 Report Share Posted April 11, 2011 My diging partner had a bedxpatt up until a few year ago.The dog died off old age.He was a very good fox dog,brilliant dog to find and would hund cover like a hound,screaming on foxs,but their the same as any other cross,you have to get it right.
