afternoon on my permission(extended)

Recommended Posts

this is my first time using a scope cam.it always seem,s when you pull of the shot of a life time nobody else saw it.so hopefully i can catch some descent shots on cam.my permission is on the border of a keeperd estate.the farmer has cows and crows crops and thats what attracts the feral pigeon and the rabbits.it is a rabbit haven as far as i know they have,nt been lamped or ferreted.i started of zeroing my rifle at a laserd 30 mtr,s when i was happy with this i attached the cam and rechecked zero, bang on.the first feral i came across got spooked lukely the one next to it stayed .it was approx 20 mtr.s so i tried to give it one mil-dot under.relief one down and on cam you can hear me casp for air after the shot i had held my breathe that long.i then had a bit of awalk around to see what was about.bunnies every where but to closs to there burrows for me to have time to get a shot.i decided to sit under an oak tree and wait.10 mts later rabbits came out again the two in the video were lasered at 78 mtrs away.i moved down to within 30 t0 50 mtrs of the large warren.the first two rabbits appeared they ran down the hedge line one carried on but the second stopped a quick view through the laser showed it to be 46 mtrs away.put a a mil-dot over its head ,cleanly killed.within the next 20 mts or so i should,ve had at least two more easy shots but was messing around witth some thing.the next rabbit appeared i laserd it 30 mtrs smack on zero shot away it impacts 1 mil-dot below.i lasered at same point and got areading of 41 mtrs i dont now whether it was because i was shooting on a steep bank i was getting in accurate readings.the last rabbit on the video appeared but what the video does,nt show is the miss i again lasered it 30 mtrs where the shot went i had no idea as it didnt scare the rabbit it just moved abit futher up the bank.lasered it again 40 mtrs rechecked 40 mtrs aimed spot on its head another good clean kill.next time out im going to put some distance markers out so i dont have to use the range finder evey time.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCltVmZfIaE

Excellent shooting there Wedge mate, But, if i may say, focus your shooting on one rabbit alone where you see two or more. You could have had two more rabbits in the bag on your film there!

I can appreciate how tricky it is shooting through a scope cam so, all respect to you here!
