airrifle which one?

Recommended Posts

Weihrauch HW80. HW77. HW95.

Air Arms Prosport, TX200. TX200HC.

No bullshit, no bollocks. Spring rifle perfection, whatever calibre; .177 or .22.

Hatsans...yeah, right

Like comparing a fecking 1970s Honda Civic to a Mercedes AMG or ASTON MARTIN.

Look at this thread my good ferret owning companion!

First gun recommendations

I have personal experience of the best value springer recommended by BAR, that being the (everybody ducks) Hatsan 60S. A nice solid built rifle, cheap and basically a clone of the lower end Webley springers. They are full power and reliably full power (unlike some of the Chinese guns, though some SMKs are very well liked). Read that and have a look.

Also best place to look and find out is your local gun dealer! Find one with a good range of air rifles, some have a trial range somewhere on the premises. Try before you buy! Find one that feels right to you! There are some good bargains in the secondhand range! Pianoman will advise you HWs are good value secondhand and they are built to last.

I advise a gun dealer as even with a secondhand gun you will have some sort of limited warranty, that will enable you to find out what problems there may be with the gun, though to be fair there should not be any!

mole if the hastan was as good as you make out why did you sell :hmm:

Because I made him, too many rifles, I also sold my diana 280 carbine.. Leave him alone, bless him..

I also suffer from Tennis elbow in the right arm, coking the rifle after a day on the range was causing severe agony. Check what I wrote, I did not sing the praises of my beloved Hats over anythign else, but some people prefer new from the box, some people are willing to go on the second hand route. There are bargains on which ever route you take. I did not "diss" any gun, it is a matter of personal choice, there are some great bargains in the secondhand high end route as I said, I also recommended that the OP gets themselves down to a gun shop to check out what is there in their budget!

Horses for courses, the Hat is a predictable, reliable gun! I know, I owned one, for a basic full powered rifle the price and quality is hard to beat. By spending more you can get some stonking deals. But my main recommendation was to find a gunshop and see what suited. Not Hats above everything else! By the way Simon the Honda Civic of the 70s is now a collectors item and is changing hands for quite a sum, more than Mercedes of the same era.

Bleeding fantastic, dropped a bun yesterday in a recoverable position this time!

Edited to say, as you know, thanks for the post, I will be going back to that permission again soon, some double the size of that bugs down there! No apparent signs of Mixi either, so very happy!
