PCP rifle storage...

Recommended Posts

I was not trying to make you look a prick, I was just stating things as I saw them, but I am man enough to admit when I do not know enough to do a job and an external probe ain't part of a gun and could in no way be determined to be part of an annual service lol! A seal on the gun would have me more worried, as bits left in that filler bit could mean they got in the gun! As I far as I can determine, that is not good!

OK, time to get some more info here then, how often do you have to replace seals?

When you need to.

This depends on usage, your cleaning/storage regime, etc.

For the vast majority a PCP service every couple of years (which will tend to cover seal changes) is plenty.

Let's not get carried away, in principle if it aint broke don't mess!

Thanks Deker, I think we would get a beastie like this serviced annually! pumping something up to that pressure means it deserves looking after well!

Mine runs FAC at 26ft lb, it's 11 years old, has had a lot of use, and has been serviced once, when the breach block cracked!!

Service it when you are happy to obviously!
