What's it called?

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

Does anyone know the correct name for a container lid/top which has an inbuilt spike in it so a tube can be attached to the lid/top?

The best example I can give is of dosing containers for sheep/cattle where the container is used upside down as a backpack. You put on this spiked cap, attach a tube which goes to your dosing gun.

I am looking for the correct name for this type of cap please, one of a different size would come in handy for a project I'm planning.

ATB,

John

Well the offers still there if you need it, you know where to contact me..

Much appreciated it is too :D I'm in the planning stage of a ground driven DIY weedlicker/weedwiper. I had the notion of using that type of cap as part of the system that wets the roller with herbicide. Since then, I've decided a container with a lid on the top and a tap below would make my life a lot simpler!
