I recentlie bought a brindle 1st x out of trevors dog "busard" to algaz roman an open class greyhound. I got her of a fella from spenny more in north east.

She was small for a bitch pup of this cross and was too thin. shes 20 weeks and doing well now. Shes grown a inch and a half since I got her 2 weeks ago and Im hoping with good food and care shell catch up but I only expect a 25 26 inch lurcher when shes done. Iv taken a chance but I know doxhope on both sides of the stud dog should stand her well for the work I want her for.

I herd they are game if entered correctlie and this little bitch will have to ern her kennel space and will be tested thats for sure when the times write.

They do seem the xs of the moment. But they are the dog of choice for the show bood and this could see them falling out of favor with the few working lurcher men who are about if lots arent tested and then breed from to win more rossets.

The Deerhound/Greyhound X has ALLWAYS caught the Judges eye at Lurcher Shows; but there does seem to be a bit of a revival in working them going on ! I've got a 1st x bitch, 18 month old and is doing everything expected of her ;

so they should be in the [bANNED TEXT] hands the scottish deerhound was a good dog and its crosses and if some body whose keen l;ike my self test them and the do well then can only improve the stock , saw plenty stags in america thats what the derhound should be looking to be like in a few years and work ,you want a dog whose keen to run a mile if need be for his qaurry go away out beam be hardy pacy and wind like the stags over by , i think alot of them in the wrong hands you need young guys whith the balls to take chances to work them hard and breed of good and get rid of non triers workers like good earth dogs or coursing dogs but allround dogs

I dont know trevor but have spoke to him a few times for advice and hes helpful. he mentioned a fella up there rung him to say a bitch hed bought for his lad wasnt getting any attention and did trevor know anyone whod buy her.

I said to trevor my brother would be intrested to buy her explained to trevor what he would expect of her and what shed be doing and trevor said a two year old bitch thats only been used on rabbits would soon take to her new task.

well my brother rings bids the man and buys the bitch. But the man cottons on shell be used on more than rabbits and the next day when my brother rings to go up there the man had sold her that morning even though shed sat there for weeks (a load of rubbish id say).

trevor seems a genuin fella and trys to sell to working homes where he can.

its people who think rabbits is a good test of a 1st x deerhound lurcher that will cause the damage in the long run.

need to see one run and see what they have go to put on table , my mate ove by in new mexico had some [bANNED TEXT] ones ,but alas heat stroke and dehydraition put paid to that but a [bANNED TEXT] good animal jack rabits coyotes for fun , a freinds not far from me has a nice deerhoundy dog would need to see it work before i bred it but it looks the part for sure 26 inch strong all deerhoundy good feet ,decent animal ,you mabe lose more than you can gain so you have to be careful,wind natural stamina boxing game of fences it would be an experiment
