I can understand why folk get annoyed,, go back a year and read exactly the same stuff from last year, It starts around now and goes on till about the begining of June !!!

Last year I asked for a sticky thread about ferret welfare but ws told that because no one would read it anyway it wasn`t worth doing :blink:

I am making an effort to be nicer to them this year as last year I went off on one and ended up frustrated that I couldn`t change the world by shouting at it

are your ferrets related and how old are they because a jill dont come into season its first year but you do know that you will need to take her out of season either by a injection from your vet or another hob but if you dont want kitts then you need a hob that has had the snip if you dont do this she can die and more than likely will, good luck

I hope you know more about hawks than you do about ferrets mate.:hmm:

What you've just wrote is a crock of shit to put it mildly, "she can die and more than likely will.

Can you tell me what experiences you base your opinion on?

I think what he means is that if a Jill is not taken out of season ,she will be likely to develop aneamea which can be fatal.

But a Jill can go into season in her first year. So it was not entirely a "crock of shit"

ATB

Have to disagree with you mate, I would say a jill might develop aneamea, I certainly wouldn't say she will be likely to develop it.

As for the "crock of shit" I was refering to what I quoted in bold.

Like you say though we get this every breeding season.
