rocky1 942
just heard on skysports news about n.ireland vs scotland [football ] ,any info [NO TEXT TALK] and is england involved in this 4 nations cup ,is it just scotland,n.ireland, rep ireland, and wales Edited February 7, 2011 by rocky1
Malt 379
It's just the celtic nations, (Wales, Scotland, Rep Ireland & N. Ireland) England didn't want to take part. It's already been devalued before a single ball has been kicked IMO, what with all the late withdrawals in all the teams..

rocky1 942
i just think just because the games are held at london dos,ent mean we should enter and not enter the other years,if we entering the games why not enter this mini touriment ,its not like you getting any reckitinion from winning the games

gnasher16 31,602
I honestly don't know why England didn't want to take part, it's not as if they're ever going to win anything else... I think its because the FA dont want all whats go,s with the traditions of an England v Scotland fixture as regards crowds etc.......they would rather we played a bunch of meaningless friendlies against Belarus and other little known Russian villages than play meaningful traditional matches like the good old days. Id love a return to the home internationals but i dont think these top knobs at the FA have much about them when it comes to competetive traditional fixtures its much easier to sell out Wembley to Bosnians/Ukranians etc......and they dont have as far to travel to Wembley as the Scots !!
