Country Joe 1,411
I know what you mean, one of the fields i hunted had a patch of rough ground at the bottom, in there was a set of old harrows, the grass just about covered them, i kept well away, but you can imagine the damage they could cause, i know keeping a check is not 100 per cent, but it can help. Shazza 52
So after not seeing your dog as an emergency, as if that wasn't bad enough, they now make you wait all day for an afternoon appointment! At the very least they should have told you to bring the dog in as soon as the surgery opened this morning. You really do need to find a better Vet. ATB though, hope the dog is OK. Quote Link to post

Well shes fine really eating and stuff but ive got a hefty old vet bill she give is a free consultation and antibiotics 40 quid altogether .... BUT ..... needs operation next week to remove teeth and make sure jaw isnt fractured ...... shes got smashed bottom gum and teeth and her pallet ( underneath tongue ) is split about 3 - 4 inches long which isnt good at all i never noticed underneath , never even thought of looking there all in all it comes to about £ 300 quid but a wud pay alot more if i had too ! They're going to wait until next week to "make sure" the jaw isn't fractured?! Good grief. What happened to x-rays? Did they dispense any painkillers? I second what others have said: there's something very odd about your vet.... Quote Link to post
leepieman123 8
lost a cracker of a dog due to a f**king tree stump, Quote Link to post
ashleybee 7
At least she'll get sorted mate. Shame this post got ruined by a load of idiots who obviously take there dogs out in bubble wrap by the sounds of things. FFS a dog can trip on the slightest of things when they are going full tilt. Gald to hear the vets finally got the time to have a look. What teeth has she got to have out? Quote Link to post
