So what`s to be done

Recommended Posts

I know this has been done before and will get done again, but don`t we think it`s time to do something about the spiralling cost of fuel in this country.

Currently the government is raking in and extra 12 million pounds per day due to the rising cost of petrol, this is on top of what they have already set their budget for so why should we not be getting this money back with a fuel reduction.

Don`t get me wrong, i know the country is in the mire and needs to pay it`s debts off but everytime the price of fuel goes up a penny, that is extra revenue that the government wasn`t expecting. They have said they will look at doing something in the budget in March, but by that time it will have gone up some more so any reduction will be pointless. And by the sounds of it they may only do something for the lorry companies and people that live in rural areas. Now i don`t exactly live in the countryside, but i do have to travel 32 mile round trip to work everyday. There are no buses to catch so i have no choice in having a car. My fuel just to get to work and back without any other travel is over £100 per month, and the wife has got a car too. :wallbash:

I have just signed another petition asking that the government reduce the tax.

I am happy to not buy any fuel from the major stations like BP and Esso so that eventually they will drop the price, but we have to stick together. :friends:

Lets do something like the frogs or Spanish would. :aggressive:

Hauliers already get a subsidy on diesel prices I believe?

Trouble is we need them to help with any protest as they are huge users of fuel!

Government have basically got us by the balls, they know we all need petrol/diesel to get to work so no escape!

Another big problem for everyone is the VAT hike, which also affected petrol/diesel.

2.5% might not seem great but its on nearly everthing we buy, I cant see anyone getting a wage rise to cover that on top of any annual rise they 'might' get!

We are well and truly f*cked in this country each government blames the other and that will never change.

They should stop 'handouts' to disaster causes and such like until they can actually afford to give it!

Oh and we still get the 'illegals' coming in sucking what they can get!!

All this really doesnt affect politicians as they are big earners its the working people who suffer as usual.

Oh and Labour were supposed to be for the 'working classes' what a load of shite that is!!

One last gripe her.

Saw a bit saying Rooney, and presumably others, only pay 2% tax !!!

What the f%ck is going on there?

Big money to be made if the government can sort that shower of shite out!!

Thats got that lot of me chest :whistling:

Or for two weeks only buy fuel from one supplier forcing the others to drop their price then buy from them until the rest drop theirs, thus forcing a price war

Everyone gets to carry on life as normal,

Thats to much like hard work asking folk to pull together, they wouldn't do it. Block the roads, easy done and it would work too!

Politicians will only change things when it effects them , this doesn't so it will go on being hiked up UNTIL IT DOES, i know we give the french stick , but 1 thing is when there pissed off they dont half stick together and FORCE changes to be made.
