longnetting

hi went feerreting today and caught 2 bunnies i was using long nets and the bunnies were just running sudeways of the ditch i was just wondering if i put the longnet right up to the ditch, so as soon as they come out they wud be in the longnet

hello [bANNED TEXT] i always zig zag my longnets ive never set them in a straight line because the rabbits just run straight along side then back into a hole

Try setting gate nets or similar at 10m intervals along the long net, any that bolt straight out hit the long net any that run the hedge hit the gate net

You now know what to expect when you do that burrow go back and set the nets accordingly but i wouldn't set the nets right up to the ditch a yard away or whatever to let them get up a bit of speed
