Personaly I believe Bertie brought the country to it's knees (and took the Greens into Government) but Biffo kept it there.

Hopefully his party members will vote him out on Tuesday.

i agree neil ,bertie started the ball rolling and jumped ship but biffo has a hell of a lot to answer to .Fingers crossed he will be out next week

This cropped up on another forum i post on. I thought it was a really interesting insight onto the Irish financial disaster. Not living in Ireland though, i wonder how accurate it is ? If anyone fancies reading it, i'd be grateful for their opinions :)

just read it, im not irish but being married to a galway man + living here for 7yrs it seems close enough to the mark for me!

the only addition to that i would add is "off with their heads" ... literally.... if it worked for the french

not really, this is all that folk seem to talk about this weather, my fella is considering changeing alliegances to sinn fein, im sticking with fine gael for the time being as i believe that bruton still has a good chance of becoming the next leader of fine gael and could be a feasable taoiseach, better than bertie + cowen anyway, i would live to see cowen, bertie and that snake of a finance minister (who's name escapes me at the moment) kicked out of the dael for good, with NO pension, even better id like to see the lot of them in jail for the damage they've done.
