Alex Arrigone 24
hi, me and my friend went out hunting today in a "light breeze". we did some target practice at our zero range (35yrds). where as normally i have a 10-15 mil grouping, because of the wind it was like i used a shotgun! how is it that such little wind can effect a pellet so much over sush a short distance? whats the best pellets to use in windy conditions for a more accurate grouping? cheers Edited January 13, 2011 by Alex Arrigone Quote Link to post

The wind can be a pain in the arse (no punn intened, honest ) but it's just like learning hold over/under, practice is the only cure. I've got to be honest though, in the 30 plus years I've been useing airguns, I'm still rubbish when it's blowey out. Never been any good when it's breezy, even when I used to be out pretty much every day Good luck!! Cheers. Quote Link to post

(should happen into the twighlight too, if you forget about groups..hots up your hunting and auto reflex's too.). ultimatly your heading for the old 'that there...wack' not ooo ermmm 32 maybe 33 yards, wheres the range finder lol...just let yu self flow with it.(good for people who get paper target itous syndrome lol..as in cant group save their lives but sure can knock a bunny down one time...one time...one time etc etc). a while after you get into this, you'll start to find you can just lift th gun and let the pellet go almost instantly, or at least without find target, pur hair on, how fair lift..now hold...and click. the lot shortens in auto reflex to there, yes no?, lift its gone....its like a one 'nothing' moment....nice too lol. Hi mate, can i just say this is brilliant advice!! i know exactly what you mean about the 'paper target syndrome' trying to get groups better etc... also shooting targets all day is just going to make things worse especially your eye sight lol. i have done it and end up being more off zero than i started. fantastic advice scott Quote Link to post
