led gun lights

As always, budget comes into play here - and the range that you are expecting to achieve.

Look at the Laser Genetics ND-3 or ND-5 for something really quite special - but it's not cheap.

You can buy a good XP-G R5 CREE LED torch (needs to be at least 300 lumen) for relatively little money these days - and with tac switches (I use an Ultrafire C8), but don't expect to ID over 200 yards. The Tiablo A10-G, the Clulite Masterlite Supreme and the Fenix, while 'specialist' hunting torches are all limited to 150 yds - and are about £1 per yard!

I recently started using a Tiablo A10 with my .243, and as for it being limited to 150 yards - there are already a few Foxes that might argue the fact (if they were still around!) that it's effective out to much longer ranges!

Tight bugger should av bought the rrt3! :whistling::laugh::thumbs:

LOL yes that does look like the dogs dangly bits.

Took it out for a spin. Weather not so good but had stopped raining when I got out. I compared it to the Clulite Shootalite that I currently use on my rifle. Pretty much pound for pound the BC40 matched it. Bearing in mind this is against the naked eye, I think looking through the scope at the white light will be better at range. It picked up Rabbits and they didnt seem bothered. On low range I could see easily with the naked eye upto 100 yards and full power 200 yards easily and the far hedgeline that is exactly 260 yards away could be seen with the naked eye, obviously looking through a scope would have been better. So far so good. Just need to get it on the scope now and see what its like. Tried it with the Cluson filters covering it, the red took a lot out of it but the Amber was pretty good. Will need a specific filter for this, the normal lamp filters are too thick. Hoping the Masterlite filters will fit.
