rossi_j 99
Does anyone use or has used those foam pellets for cleaning there barrel? Reason being im going to try a few different pellets and have been informed that it is better to clean out and re lead before guageing the accuracy with a new pellet and I want to save time and I dont have a cleaning kit. Are they worth bothering with or should I just get a pull through? Also thaught they may be a bit of fun to shoot around the house ! (JOKE) .atb. .ste. Quote Link to post
rossy08 33
hi there mate. i was using the shot through pellets the other day,yes they get a fiar bit out, however, my mate used them in his daystate and then went on to use a napier pull through kit, the pull through got loads more out even after the shoot through. so by this simple test id say get the pull through mate. atb Andy Quote Link to post
rossi_j 99
Cheers andy nice one mate, evidence there to proove a pull through works better aswel, I thaught the foam would work well as we use the same method for cleaning gas pipelines before installation, oversized diameter piece of foam then buid up the pressure behind it to punch it through (slightly larger scale). Pull through it is then .atb. .ste. Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
I use (occasionally) a piece of fishing line and a baby wipe. (in .177, I pich the lads filters from his fags ) Simply put a loop in a piece of string/fishing line, feed from mussle to breech, slot a baby wipe (or other cloth) into the loop and pull trough from breach to muzlze. Works a treat repeat until clean Sorted! Phantom Quote Link to post

Phantom, with the filters what sieze do you use? And do you pull them through sideways or inline, I was thinking maybe hair rig it (without the hook) Also do you use them dry or with a bit of oil? Never cleaned a barrel before sory. .atb gents. .ste. Quote Link to post

The hair rig style is basically the same as I use I pull them through after I've used a little bit of baby wipe or rag with a touch of WD40 on it. Once they are comming out clean then its time to start re-leading with the next batch of pellets Phantom Quote Link to post
