Guest JDF
i use an old terrier collar, cut the end with the holes off and screw it to the lid,cut the buckle off and leave about an inch of leather just screw this to the front, with that box of yours you'll be wanting something a bit fancier i'm sure Quote Link to post

tote 870
Hi Beagle here are some pics of one of my ferret boxes,it is 20 years old it might give you some ideas if you want to fine tune your box. The sloping lid lets the rain run off it,the lid should also cover the top of the sides so no rain gets in. The strap is an old car seat belt. A piano hinge is the best hinge to use. Must say Beagle it's a great effort, well done. Edited January 8, 2007 by tote Quote Link to post
beagles 0
ive finished it today all its need now is some filler in them holes from the old hinges and painting Quote Link to post
blando 0
and a strap, good job looks nice and light! Quote Link to post
Rabbithunter 456
a good point made by tote. a sloping lid is usually best, or at least an overhanging lid im not criticising, beagles, but if you take that box out on the pissing rain, your going to get a wet ferret or two.....
