Guest crobinc840
Put it in there and eventually they'll get hungry enough to eat it. My jill was dry food fed and didn't care for rabbit but when I took away the dry she ate the rabbit that day. Quote Link to post

The one 8,595
Id try them on the heart ,liver and kidneys from the rabbits first and see how they get on with them ,them maybe try a back leg .As ferrets always seem to eat the soft flesh first . Quote Link to post
bush wacker 77
ive just put a rabbit they went mad for it,the one got stuck in to eating the other started to rag it by the neck,so hopefully they will be ok on raw thanks for the replies Quote Link to post
stevethefish 80
If ferrets were meant to eat biscuits they would have been rabbits, ferrets are carnivours, hunters and killers don't treat them any other way. I feed mine full rabbits, pigeons etc gut fur, feather and all, thats what they would eat in the wild, nature decides our destiny not us feed them what they are meant to eat. My ferrets are excellent workers, they dont have any hang-ups about eating proper meat so why should I. No disrespect to those who feed the ferrets on dry food, just my point of view. ferrety f 23
Agree stevethefish but if they have had no dried since he got them they will be starving, pull the skin back off the backend so they can get to the meat.. just for now, till they get used to eating food with its jacket still on Edited December 9, 2010 by ferrety f Quote Link to post
stevethefish 80
Its natural instinct to eat meat, they will not starve trust me, I took one off a mate a few years ago that was a pet, never worked and fed on dried food. I took it straight out and it worked excellent , fed it on fresh kill and it loved it, bet it thought what the f*ck wa I being fed on before. Quote Link to post
